Job description
- Perform quality assurance reviews of hospice patient charts and clinical documentation
- Audit admission, recertification, discharge, and bereavement documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Review physician orders, certifications, plans of care, and interdisciplinary documentation
- Ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, state, and accreditation standards
- Identify documentation deficiencies and provide corrective recommendations
- Track compliance findings and prepare QA reports for leadership
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and policy compliance reviews
- Collaborate with clinical leadership, including DON, administrators, and interdisciplinary team members
- Support preparation for surveys, audits, and accreditation reviews
Requirements
Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Principle Hospice Service is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to support our clinical compliance and medical record review processes. This temporary contract position is ideal for a healthcare professional with hospice documentation, regulatory compliance, and chart auditing experience., * Minimum 2 years of hospice, home health, or healthcare compliance experience
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, documentation standards, and Medicare requirements
- Experience reviewing EMR/clinical records
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
Preferred:
- Licensed Nurse (RN/LVN), Medical Records Specialist, or Healthcare Compliance background
- Experience with hospice QA, QAPI, or clinical auditing
- Familiarity with The Joint Commission or ACHC standards
