Job description
Utilizing professional project engineering methods; maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of Southwest Energy through the creative engineering, development, fabrication, testing, field implementation, and maintainability of plant and equipment.

Perform all engineering functions relating to the design, development, coordination, fabrication, and field testing of mechanical and electromechanical products and systems in support of company objectives.

Effectively work with external and internal organizations to ensure the successful accomplishment of company engineering projects.

Provide and maintain as-built engineering documentation, support systems, and troubleshooting guides for all Southwest Energy equipment.

Lead efforts to ensure that the Engineering and Maintenance organization is proactive and integrated in its approach to project management; continually involving Plant supervision and operators in equipment design and maintainability issues.
Results & Expectations

Identify equipment and process improvement opportunities by determining customer requirements; identifying and analyzing trends in technology; studying plant processes; and conferring with Southwest Energy managers.

Plan engineering projects by integrating project priorities into corporate priorities; and collaborating with organization managers.

Determine feasibility of engineering projects by identifying and forecasting costs and schedules against requirements.

Complete projects by conducting and managing development, improvement, and modification activities; following up on work results; developing specifications; initiating, coordinating, and providing status reports to management.

Protect assets by maintaining confidentiality.

Maintain project documentation by maintaining notebooks of work; preparing project reports and schedules, creating CAD drawings, maintaining project information files; and summarizing projects on completion.

Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by planning and conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and systems controls.

Develop mechanical and electromechanical equipment by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators.

Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.

Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.

Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.

Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.

Develop partnerships with internal organizations to reduce overall operations costs and improve customer services.

Contribute to overall team effort by:
· Offering information and recommendations as a member of the Engineering & Maintenance organization;
· Providing engineering support services to all Southwest Energy organizations;
· Being an active leader in Southwest Energy's continuous improvement effort.
Pay: Up to $90,000.00 per year
Requirements
Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Strong knowledge of SWE equipment and operation procedures.

Able to estimate, plan, organize, follow-up, test, and commission SWE's equipment.

Strong computer skills (Inventor, AutoCAD & Microsoft Office products, and other computer software used daily).

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to supervise, support, explain, and train other departments, vendors, and contractors.

Detail-oriented and highly self-motivated.

Be capable of generating, reviewing, and interpreting schematics, diagrams, and fabrication drawings.

Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Travel up to 40% of the time.
