Job description

As IT Lead at Forus, you'll be responsible for designing and operating the internal systems that keep our team fast, secure, and productive. You'll oversee our infrastructure across identity, access, device management, and compliance - while also supporting day-to-day IT needs like access requests, device provisioning, and distributed workforce support.

This role requires both systems thinking and hands-on execution. You'll help define foundational IT workflows and tooling as we scale, while also serving as the go-to person for diagnosing and resolving issues across the team. This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to "act like an owner" and commit yourself to Forus' success. If you are low-ego, hungry to learn, and excited about intense, impactful work that drives both company growth and accelerated career progression, we want to hear from you.

If you join, you will:

  • Own our internal IT infrastructure - including identity, device, and systems management
  • Administer and improve core tools like Google Workspace, Jamf, Zoom, Slack, and Twingate
  • Build and automate onboarding and offboarding workflows, reducing manual setup and access errors
  • Support a growing distributed workforce - including offsite device logistics, access controls, and endpoint security
  • Handle internal access requests and technical escalations with speed and context
  • Write and maintain automation scripts and lightweight integrations across internal systems
  • Partner with engineering and compliance to support SOC2/HITRUST posture and audit readiness

Requirements

Do you have experience in Zoom?, * 4-8 years of experience in IT operations, internal systems, or infrastructure support

  • Deep familiarity with Google Workspace administration and device management (Jamf, MDMs)
  • Experience with cloud IAM systems (AWS preferred), and Zero Trust or identity governance tools
  • Proficiency in scripting and building automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Comfort designing workflows and automation to support scale and compliance
  • Strong communication and support instincts, with a user-first mindset
  • High NPS with your former teammates

About the company

Forus is a generational opportunity to rethink how we bring new therapies to market, and our path to doing so is significantly de-risked - we have: * Exponential organic growth: We have product-market fit and are growing rapidly. Forus supports thousands of new patients every day, is spreading with doctors through word-of-mouth, and works with the largest biopharma companies in the world. * An AI-first business model: Our approach is distinctly enabled by AI, but our business gets stronger (not commoditized) as foundation models improve. We are building durability through two-sided network effects that compound over time. * Top tier investors: With the traction to support conviction in our model, we raised significant funding from top investors (Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, and Accel) to build an exceptional team of engineers and operators. Our number one priority is scaling to market demand. We are looking for individuals who are high horsepower, high throughput, and hyper resourceful to help us increase capacity and grow. We move fast and need to move faster., Forus is based in New York, with our full team working out of a beautiful and spacious office in SoHo. We run as a high-trust environment with high autonomy, which requires that everyone is fully competent and operates in line with our principles: * Do the math. Be rigorous, assume nothing. Break problems down and reason from the ground up. * Expand the solution space. Be resourceful and audacious. Resist false constraints and push beyond the obvious before committing. * Spit it out. Speak directly, invite critique, avoid equivocation. We want right answers, not comfortable ones. * Raise the bar together. Hold a high standard for execution, push each other directly, and win as a team.
