Product Owner

An insurance company in the Pacific Northwest is seeking a Product Owner to support the Enterprise Data & Analytics line of business, with a specific focus on the Data Governance team. Experience with data governance platforms such as Collibra (or similar tools) is a top priority and essential for success in this role.

This individual will partner closely with both technical stakeholders and business leaders to support and enhance the Collibra platform. On a day-to-day basis, they will work primarily with Analysts to manage sprint delivery, prioritize work, and ensure timely execution of initiatives. The ideal candidate is confident leading Enterprise Data Governance-related projects and can effectively guide the team to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities include long-term planning and sequencing of work based on capacity and demand, as well as maintaining clear and thorough documentation and reporting in Jira and/or Confluence. SQL experience is a plus. While the team is distributed nationwide, core business hours align with Pacific Time (PST).

• 3+ years as a Product or Project Manager
• Experience with Data Governance, preferably Collibra or other related governance tools
• Experience with Jira / Confluence
• Leadership skills, ability to lead technical team members to delivery
• Agile / Scrum background - Experience with Databricks
• Experience with PowerBI / SQL
