Job description

Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments

Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows patching

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues

Implement and support backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery plans

Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments

Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts for automation and reporting

Collaborate with development, application, and cross-functional teams to ensure system compatibility

Work closely with customers, adjacent technical teams, and management to resolve system issues

Maintain strong security practices including system hardening and vulnerability management

Produce documentation for configurations, procedures, and change controls

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator to support and optimize a mission-critical Windows and SQL Server environment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical depth, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams., 5-7 years of Windows system administration experience in mid- to large-scale environments

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (installation, maintenance, scripting, tuning)

Proficiency in PowerShell for automation

High familiarity with virtualization technologies: VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix

Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)

Knowledge of ITIL and change management processes is a plus

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and strong in stakeholder engagement

Preferred Certifications

Microsoft Certified: Windows Hybrid Server Administrator

Microsoft Certified: Administrator Associate

CompTIA Security+ or equivalent

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
