Database Architect

As a Database Architect at COSMOTE Global Solutions, you will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise database systems that align with business goals and technical requirements., * Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions to meet organizational needs.

• Develop and maintain database architecture documentation, standards, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into effective database designs.
• Lead initiatives for database optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Evaluate and select appropriate database technologies and platforms including relational and NoSQL databases.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and availability across all database environments.
• Guide and mentor database administrators and development teams on best practices and architectural standards.
• Implement data modeling best practices and ensure alignment with data governance policies.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in database architecture and recommend improvements accordingly.

Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum 12 years of experience in database design, architecture, and administration.
• Strong expertise in relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar technologies.
• Proficiency in data modeling techniques including ER modeling, normalization, and dimensional modeling.
• Hands-on experience with database performance tuning, scalability, and high availability solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud SQL.
• Good understanding of data security best practices and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex database concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
