Job description
We are looking for an Automated Test Engineer to join our business.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of solutions delivered to clients by designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites while integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
This role supports the wider technical team throughout the product lifecycle and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance testing efforts. You will champion quality practices and advocate for continuous improvement initiatives within the team, contributing to the development of user-centric solutions that empower individuals to perform at their best., In this role, you will:
- Work effectively and collaborate with team members (stakeholders and technical)
- Extend existing test scripts to improve coverage, based on agile functional demands for the relevant project
- Provide detailed reports for QA outputs
- Be able to work to a schedule, completing tasks on time, as defined.
- Create new test scripts aligning with the best practice set out by the team
- Learn and improve on the job (picking up new skills and capabilities as the work progresses)
Requirements
Do you have experience in Test automation?, The right candidate for this role will have:
- Experience in automated software testing, with a proven ability to design, write and run automation frameworks and suites (essential)
- Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress (essential)
- A strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
- The ability to analyse technical and business requirements and translate them into effective, structured test scenarios.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
Benefits & conditions
The budgeted salary for this role is between £35,000 and £40,000 a year, depending on experience.
