IT Processing Technician

We are seeking a skilled IT Processing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer repair and refurbishment, mechanical knowledge, and equipment repair. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that all equipment leaves the facility in perfect condition. The Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Duties (may include):

• Sanitise data bearing hardware using data erasure software.
• Conduct minor repairs and upgrades to IT equipment (such as HDD RAM and GPU/Graphics Card replacement).
• Cosmetic repair and refurbishment of IT equipment (such as application of vinyl skins to laptop lids and keyboards)
• Testing of IT Peripherals
• Testing, diagnosing and troubleshooting common IT Equipment faults.
• Installation of Operating Systems
• Management of Stock / Asset Inventory, including conducing stock takes, recording and updating stock warehouse locations, SKU creation, and storing, picking & packing of equipment pending dispatch.
• Grading of IT equipment using the company grading system.
• Data entry within company database systems - including recording of product specification, stock quantities and updating stock locations
• Sorting and dismantling of beyond economical repair equipment (WEEE)
• Completion and checking of collection and delivery paperwork
• General housekeeping duties to maintain a tidy work environment, * Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.
• Ensure all client data is handled in accordance with Apex Evolution's Data Protection Policies and procedures.
• To comply with Apex Evolution's policies and procedures, resulting in a positive contribution to the Integrated Management System (including Health & Safety, Environmental, Information Security and Quality aspects).
