Job description
We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team for a 6-month period providing first and second line support to our onsite and remote employees. Reporting to the Head of IT and working within the IT Support team you will be responsible for managing tickets and providing support and guidance to users on a range of hardware and software focused primarily on the Microsoft ecosystem., * Monitoring the IT ticket queue; logging, categorising, and prioritising issues.
- Performing investigations to identify issues with connectivity, hardware, and software.
- Performing new starter onboarding and equipment handovers.
- Configuring and testing hardware.
- Creating and managing user accounts.
- Generating and maintaining documentation., We work in a hybrid environment where employees combine working remotely and working from the office to facilitate a high-performance working environment - with the ability to collaborate effectively and build a cohesive team bond whilst being able to focus and deliver quality results. With this in mind, you will need to easily be able to commute to Cambridge and / or London.
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, You;
- Have demonstratable experience with Microsoft Windows and MacOS operating systems.
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and M365.
- Are familiar with Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Have experience working with Microsoft Intune.
- Have a good understanding of networking, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.
- Operate with a high level of attention to detail.
- Are proactive and take ownership of your work.
- Have strong organisational skills.
- Are comfortable working collaboratively with a wide range of teams and internal and external stakeholders., * Experience with Microsoft security products and services.
