Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I), the ITSup II performs at the full supervisory level and independently plans, directs, and coordinates the most complex analysis, requirements, configuration, design, development, and implementation and ongoing maintenance support of various Information Technology (IT) projects and initiatives. The ITSup II is responsible for understanding the Department's project management methodology based on the Project Management Institute's Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ITSup II will provide client support and relations to the user community which includes: the Executive Programs, the Division of Operations, the Public Rights Division, the Division of Civil Law, the Division of Criminal Law, and the California Justice Information Services Division. The ITSup II serves as the liaison between Hawkins Data Center (HDC) and local agency management, supervisory, analytical, and data processing staff, as well as vendor/consultant staff to identify Bureau and client needs and to effectively resolve the most complex problems. Additionally, the ITSup II plans and directs the work of a team comprised of staff which include: Information Technology Specialist I, Information Technology Associate levels and consultants. This position will manage a team of JAVA, PL/SQL and .Net software developers who support and enhance custom built and Commercial of the Shelf (COTS) applications. Working Conditions This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies. This position is eligible for telework, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required.
