Job description
We are seeking a Security Analyst to support security operations, monitoring, and incident response activities. This role leverages subject matter expertise gained through industry experience to provide technical, managerial, and administrative support for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation of security solutions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a security operations environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, IT, or an analytical role
- Experience with SIEM tools
- Experience with IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow
- Knowledge of security incident response processes and log analysis
- Knowledge of cloud and virtualized environments, such as Azure or VMWare
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Public Trust
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
- Experience supporting a Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Experience with forensic or red teaming lab environments
- Knowledge of security monitoring, alert triage, and incident escalation
- Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Security+, Splunk Core User, or Azure Security Engineer Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
