Job description
- Provide hands-on support for mission-critical IT hardware systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computing and communications equipment.\n
- Support enterprise voice and communications systems, including VoIP phone systems, Mission Critical Conferencing Systems (MCCS), telephone instruments, voicemail systems, and associated infrastructure.\n
- Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of hardware and communications systems through proactive maintenance and rapid incident response.\n
- Perform system diagnostics and resolve hardware issues or escalate as required to restore service.\n
- Support configuration management and change management processes for hardware and communications systems.\n
- Maintain accurate documentation of hardware configurations, system layouts, rack elevations, cabling, and infrastructure diagrams.\n
- Collaborate with engineering and launch teams to support planning and execution of launch communications requirements.\n
- Assist in defining technical requirements and ensuring systems are properly configured to support launch activities.\n
- Support development of project plans, schedules, and timelines related to hardware readiness and deployment.\n
- Track tasks, action items, and system readiness milestones to ensure timely delivery of capabilities.\n
- Participate in technical meetings, working groups, and integrated product teams to coordinate hardware and communications support.\n
- Assist with testing, rehearsals, and validation of communications systems prior to launch events.\n
- Contribute to technical documentation, status reporting, and post-launch lessons learned.\n
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in hardware systems, communications infrastructure, and mission-critical IT environments, along with the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and project teams.\n, * U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph\n
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree)\n
- Current DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Security+)\n
- Experience supporting mission-critical IT hardware and communications systems\n
- Knowledge of VoIP systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and associated hardware\n
- Experience with configuration management, change management, and system documentation\n
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes operational environment\n
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills\n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and operational teams\n
- Willingness to provide on-call or call-in support as required\n, * Familiarity with classified communications environments\n
- Experience with Cisco VoIP systems, Compunetix, and Harris Video distribution switches\n
- Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, and MS Project\n
- ITIL Foundations certification\n
- Experience supporting project coordination or technical planning activities\n
