Job description
The Anaplan Solution Architect is responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of advanced Anaplan models and applications across various business functions. This role ensures optimal architecture, integration, and user experience for accounting and planning solutions including Revenue Accounting, Incentive Compensation Management, Sales Forecasting, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). The architect will leverage deep expertise in Anaplan and other planning systems to deliver scalable, efficient, and insightful solutions for The Trade Desk.
What you'll do:
- Lead the end-to-end design and build of Anaplan models for revenue accounting, incentive compensation, sales forecasting, FP&A, and other strategic planning initiatives.
- Oversee system integration, ensuring seamless connectivity between Anaplan and other enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, translate objectives into effective models, and deliver actionable reporting.
- Design intuitive user interfaces and dashboards to enhance user experience and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality assurance throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to model builders and business users.
- Maintain documentation of models, processes, and integrations for compliance and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on Anaplan platform updates, industry best practices, and emerging planning technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Anaplan Solution Architect.
- Proven experience architecting and building complex Anaplan models in a professional environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Anaplan UX design and reporting functionalities.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects across multiple planning domains (e.g., revenue, compensation, sales, FP&A).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial planning processes.
- Experience integrating Anaplan with other business systems and data sources.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Hands-on experience with other planning systems (e.g., Oracle EPM, Workday Adaptive Planning) preferred.
- Familiarity with API-driven integrations and cloud data architecture.
- Experience in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. The base salary range for this role is $93,800 - $172,000 USD
