Job description
You start your shift reviewing work orders, schematics, and wiring diagrams. You plan wire routing from technical drawings, lay out harnesses, and complete precise installations. Throughout the day, you install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics components while following FCC, FAA, and company policies. You validate performance using appropriate test sets (including spectrometer, oscilloscope, and pitot-static equipment) and keep your tools, test equipment, and manuals in top working order. When issues surface, you methodically isolate faults, perform wiring repairs, solder and crimp to spec, and document your work.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wiring harnesses?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical data (schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, publications)
- Advanced capability with avionics installation tooling; wiring installation and repair; soldering and crimping
Preferred background
- Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL
- Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or pitot-static equipment
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense sector, the U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. Military
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required, * High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Typically 5 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
