Job description
The candidate in this position will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting integration solutions that enable reliable data exchange across multiple enterprise systems. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across business and technical functions to ensure that integrations meet functional requirements, are technically sound, and align with Moderna's architectural and compliance standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience with integration platforms, enterprise applications, infrastructure concepts, and operational support. The role also includes responsibilities for monitoring and improving the integration environment to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
Here's What You'll Do:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design integration solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Develop, test, deploy, and document system integrations between cloud and on-premises applications.
- Act as a subject matter expert to support and enhance existing integrations across supply chain, HR, finance, quality, and R&D domains.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain EDI interfaces (e.g. EDI 850, 856, 810 etc.) with partners and customers.
- Coordinate onboarding of new EDI partners, including mapping, testing and connectivity setup.
- Support existing integrations through monitoring, incident resolution, and performance tuning.
- Implement API routing, throttling, authentication, and transformation rules.
- Maintain the integration platform infrastructure, including configuration, user access, and health system.
- Collaborate with compliance and security teams to ensure that all integrations adhere to data privacy, security, and audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and technical improvements within the integration landscape.
- May require it to provide occasional after-hours support, as needed, for critical issues, escalations, or key project deliverables.
- Drive the development of agentic integration, enabling intelligent, adaptive, and AI-driven workflows across enterprise systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field, master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with at least one leading integration platform such as Boomi, Mulesoft, SnapLogic, Workato, or Informatica. Experience with Boomi is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of integration protocols and formats including REST, SOAP, HTTP/S, AS2, VAN, (S)FTP, JSON, XML.
- Strong understanding of architecture patterns such as pub-sub, hub-spoke, API-led and event driven architecture.
- Solid grasp of cloud infrastructure concepts (preferably AWS) and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for high-quality execution.
- Demonstrated initiative in learning new tools and technologies and improving operational processes.
- Eager to quickly learn, Can-do and customer service attitude.
Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
- Preferred experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, Veeva, MES, and LIMS.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to monitoring tools, log aggregators, and alerting systems to track platform health and performance.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, or Shell.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across global regions and customer environments.
- Ability to design scalable, resilient, and high-availability integration solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.

The salary range for this role is $109,200.00 - $174,600.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
