Raytheon's Connected Factory Intelligence and Automation (CFI&A) department has an immediate career-growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative Automation Systems Engineering (ASE) team member to lead solutions development as the Front End Of The Business (FEOTB) Lead. This role is within the Operations function and is primarily focused on delivering Advanced Manufacturing (ex. Robotics, visions systems, automated material movement, etc.) and Digital technologies (Analytics, factory visuals, equipment connectivity, etc.) capabilities to Raytheon factories. This position combines applications engineering, manufacturing engineering, and business development to transition initiatives from concept to reality. This role is responsible for communicating with factory and customers to identify opportunities, developing them into mature concepts, defining detailed requirements, and seamlessly transitioning the initiative to a project execution team for implementation.
What You Will Do

Collaborate with program and factory customers to identify, develop, and define manufacturing automation and digital solutions.

Support early 'New Product Introduction' activities including Design for Manufacturing engagements to shape Raytheon products and automation solutions.

Gain alignment between Industry 4.0 and factory/program strategic roadmaps.

Provide technical leadership through early project phases (ideation through project definition) and continued technical guidance after transition to the project execution team.
Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Project leadership experience (ex. Technical Project Lead, Project Manager, Integrated Product Team Lead, Product Design Lead, etc.)(ex. Technical Project Lead, Project Manager, Integrated Product Team Lead, Product Design Lead, etc.).

Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies including manufacturing automation and smart/digital factory technologies.

Experience with new product introduction, design for manufacturing, design for automation, and/or detailed specification of equipment for production.
Qualifications We Prefer

Active DOD Secret Clearance.

Professional experience with the deployment and integration of automation systems (robotics, controls, vision, etc.).

Strong communication skills including the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience developing technology strategies aligned to business needs, including return on investment.
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
