Job description
Position Description:The CMN instructor is responsible for developing and implementing an instructional program focusing on basic skills in a variety of areas associated with computer networking that will support the Pennsylvania Occupational Standards (POS) for CIP Code 11.0901. Instruction includes but is not limited to computer hardware and operating systems, use of networking cable making tools, SOHO and enterprise configuration, and knowledge of TCP/IP.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Teaching Certification license?, Do you have experience in Working with high schoolers?, Do you have a Trade school?, The starting salary range is roughly $46,000 to $56,000 based on industry experience, teaching experience, and/or level of education. You must have or be willing to obtain Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 Clearances. Candidates without appropriate teaching certification through the PDE must be willing to complete coursework requirements through a Pennsylvania University approved vocational teacher certification program., Candidates who meet one of the following two criteria are encouraged to apply: Possess a PDE Vocational Teaching certification in Computer Networking.· Have a minimum of 4 years of wage-earning industry experience in computer networking with a willingness to obtain the Vocational Certification in Education. * CompTIA certification preferred.
Other Items to Note:· Experience working with high school students and teaching in a CTE environment are preferred.· Interested candidates are highly encouraged to review Pennsylvania's Occupational Assessment Competency Manual to review the education and certification requirements necessary for this position.
