Job description
Participate in a cross-functional team environment responsible for development and support of core Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) business applications and processes. The Business Intelligence (BI) analyst / developer will architect, develop, and provide operational support skills to deliver and maintain business intelligence, data warehousing, reporting, and visualization solutions for a wide range of business functions and user communities. The BI analyst / developer will function as part of DFA's IT organization and follow relevant applications, infrastructure and governance processes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and views to support enterprise BI, analytics, and reporting

Build Power BI-optimized semantic models, ensuring efficient refresh performance, query speed, and scalability

Develop and maintain calculated columns, measures, and KPIs using DAX

Translate business requirements into well-governed, reusable data models aligned with enterprise standards

Define and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and BI best practices

Coordinate development, testing, and change management activities with business analysts and BI team members

Proactively identify opportunities to improve model efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance usability

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent experience

3-5 years of experience as a SQL developer/Data Warehouse/BI Developer

Strong skills with MS SQL Server and/or Snowflake, + Knowledge of SQL

Knowledge of Power BI

Knowledge of Snowflake

Familiarity with working in an Agile development environment
