Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Support Engineer to provide end-to-end support for critical business applications and payment gateway systems for a major banking client. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SQL, Linux, Windows, and observability/monitoring tools, along with working knowledge of AWS and ServiceNow. This role requires proactive incident management, production support expertise, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple geographic regions. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced production support environment with strong communication and troubleshooting skills. Key Responsibilities
- Provide production and application support for critical business applications and payment gateway systems.
- Monitor application health, system performance, and service availability using observability and monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, and database-related incidents.
- Perform root cause analysis and support incident/problem management processes.
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure system stability and performance.
- Support Linux and Windows-based application environments.
- Execute SQL queries for troubleshooting, validation, and data analysis.
- Coordinate with global teams and stakeholders for issue resolution and operational support.
- Utilize ServiceNow for ticket management, incident tracking, and change coordination.

Additional Information
- Hybrid role requiring onsite presence 3 days per week in Atlanta, GA.
