The importance of this role lies in leading the full technical direction of network and security initiatives across LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, data center, and cloud environments. This is a senior, hands-on position with real escalation ownership - you'll be the person the team calls when things get complex. Deep Fortinet expertise and enterprise-scale network architecture experience are essential., 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise environments Advanced FortiGate experience - complex policy design, VPN, SD-WAN, HA, and production troubleshooting Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS/DHCP, NAT, and packet capture/analysis (Wireshark) Strong routing and switching background - VLANs, trunking, OSPF/BGP, STP, multi-site design Experience with enterprise monitoring, logging, and security analytics Proven ability to lead technical workstreams, document standards, and communicate with stakeholders Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Desired Skills & Experience
Fortinet certifications (NSE 5/6/7 or Fortinet Certified Professional/Solutions Specialist) Cisco or Meraki certifications (CCNP or equivalent) FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer experience at scale SD-WAN and redundant ISP design experience Segmentation/zero trust strategy implementation Cloud networking depth (Azure/AWS) - hybrid connectivity, VPN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect Automation mindset - PowerShell/Python scripting, APIs, IaC, Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
