Job description

Builds, prototypes, and deploys machine learning models in production environments.

Collaborates with product, technology, and other stakeholders to identify and scope data science projects.

Communicates modeling challenges, findings, and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Designs and implements end-to-end ETL (extract, transform, load) data pipelines integrating data from multiple data sources.

Explores new internal and external data sources and assesses their commercial benefit.

Mentors team members and serves as a subject matter expert in cross-functional discussions.
Requirements
Master's degree or Ph.D. with major in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, economics, or related quantitative field from an accredited college or university preferred.
Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience to include three (3) years of predictive modeling, data science, and analysis experience with solid background in the using data visualization tools and libraries and data exploration, data wrangling, and feature engineering. Experience with natural language processing and healthcare data preferred.
Skills & Knowledge

Proficiency writing code in Python or R and documenting for reproducibility

Strong knowledge of reviewing other's models and code

Ability to use data visualization tools and libraries

Knowledge of application of supervised/unsupervised ML techniques

Thorough knowledge of SQL to query relational databases

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is ($120,000 - $160,000 USD annually).
