Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Endpoint Security and Management Engineer to support the deployment, administration, and advancement of our enterprise systems management and monitoring capabilities using our newly acquired Tanium platform. The successful candidate will play a critical role in improving enterprise endpoint management, strengthening the security posture, and ensuring effective system oversight across both on-premises and cloud environments.

This position requires a self-starter who is eager to learn, can work with minimal supervision, and is driven to design and deliver enterprise-class solutions that directly enhance organizational security, efficiency, and reliability.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • Learn, configure, deploy, and administer the Tanium solution to support enterprise system and endpoint management.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain system requirements and configurations to enhance security and operational effectiveness.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Tanium, including patch management, compliance enforcement, vulnerability detection, and system monitoring.

  • Integrate Tanium into both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures to provide unified management capabilities.

  • Collaborate with IT security, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve enterprise-wide endpoint visibility and control.

  • Automate repetitive tasks and reporting functions to improve operational efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system monitoring, endpoint management, and Tanium platform performance.

  • Identify opportunities for improving enterprise system management and proactively recommend solutions.

  • Document system designs, procedures, workflows, and operational standards.

  • Stay up to date with emerging trends in systems management, monitoring, and cybersecurity to continually enhance the enterprise solution.

Experience:

5 + years of related experience, Endpoint Security and Management Engineer must have:

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience (systems engineering, administration, or enterprise IT operations)

  • Technical Skills:

  • Experience with enterprise endpoint management and monitoring solutions (e.g., SCCM, BigFix, Intune, or similar).

  • Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and/or Azure Cloud environment.

  • Strong understanding of IT security principles, patching, and compliance standards.

  • Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar).

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight in a fast-paced environment.

  • Role requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Tanium (deployment, configuration, administration).

  • Experience integrating systems management tools across hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructures.

  • Familiarity with vulnerability management, endpoint security, and enterprise compliance frameworks.

  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly

  • US citizenship required

  • Certification Required: DoD 8570 IAT Level II certified

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
