Job description

In this role, you will help build and optimize large-scale cloud infrastructure and development platforms designed for modern virtualization and AI-driven environments. You'll work closely with engineering and architecture teams to improve automation, scalability, reliability, and deployment efficiency across complex systems. The position offers a highly technical and collaborative environment where innovation, experimentation, and operational excellence are strongly encouraged. You will contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives while supporting high-performance CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native operations. You'll also play a key role in shaping platform reliability strategies and influencing technical decisions from day one within a globally distributed engineering culture. Accountabilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery speed, consistency, and reliability.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and OpenStack technologies.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions to ensure infrastructure health and operational visibility.
  • Optimize build, testing, and deployment workflows to support high-performing engineering teams and large-scale repositories.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and architects to ensure production readiness, scalability, and operational stability of applications and services.
  • Contribute to infrastructure performance optimization, system security improvements, and cloud scalability initiatives.
  • Support the delivery and maintenance of virtualization-focused Linux environments and infrastructure components.
  • Participate in incident response processes, troubleshooting activities, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews.
  • Continuously evaluate existing infrastructure practices and propose innovative improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Linux Development, or related technical roles.
  • Strong expertise with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Linux internals, networking concepts, and infrastructure security best practices.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Deep technical understanding of systems programming languages such as C, C++, Go, or Rust.
  • Experience working with monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills in collaborative engineering environments.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to challenge and improve existing infrastructure processes.
  • Familiarity with GitOps methodologies, Linux system administration, or automated QA environments is considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian infrastructure and services is advantageous.
