Job description
We are seeking a Head of IT & Security to lead and oversee IT operations and cybersecurity across all company locations at ECA International. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of IT systems, while developing and implementing robust security strategies to protect the organisation from evolving cyber threats.
The successful candidate will balance operational excellence with strategic leadership, ensuring that IT services support business objectives while maintaining a strong security posture and regulatory compliance., * Oversee the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the efficient and secure functioning of all IT systems and infrastructure across multiple locations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT and security policies and procedures to protect the organization's data and systems from internal and external threats.
- Oversee IT security initiatives, including risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and the deployment of security technologies.
- Manage the IT team and IT security team, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure high levels of productivity and compliance with security protocols.
- Oversee response to security incidents, investigations and implementation of corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to IT security and data protection (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC II).
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that IT security measures align with business needs and support operational goals.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including security consultants and IT auditors.
- Oversee IT projects, including system upgrades, security enhancements, and the deployment of new technologies.
- Prepare and manage the IT and security budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet strategic objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in IT security, emerging threats, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to enhance the organisation's security posture.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Team management?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of IT systems, network management, and cybersecurity principles.
Desirable:
- Professional certifications in IT security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
- Master's degree in IT Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience in IT management with a strong focus on cybersecurity, preferably in a multi-location or global organisation.
- Experience in developing and implementing IT security strategies and managing IT infrastructure.
- Experience in conducting security risk assessments and managing security incidents.
Skills and Behaviours:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead a team of IT and security professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strategic approach to managing IT operations and security.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in IT management and security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability assessment software.
- Ability to stay current with emerging IT security trends, technologies, and threats.
