Software Engineer

An exciting opportunity to work as a Software Engineer improving reliability and reducing technical debt in our Simulation Software Department. You will be working in an agile manner, close to your customers and in a key position to learn about a range of products., We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will take ownership of the stability and quality of our products - used to ensure the reliability of our Command-and-Control Systems. This role centres on resolving complex issues, improve system reliability and reducing technical debt - by identifying root causes and implementing durable fixes.

You'll develop deep knowledge of our architecture and play a key role in making the platform reliable, resilient, and easier for the rest of the engineering team to build on.

The work you'll do directly affects customer experience, engineering velocity, and overall product health.

Willingness to learn and develop in ADA. With a strong software engineering background preferably demonstrating knowledge of key concepts through experience of C++, Java or Rust. * Experience of working within an Agile development environment * Working with CI/CD pipelines including writing of Automated Test Scripts * A willingness to build deep system architecture understanding * Experience of performance tuning and root-cause analysis.

Desirable: * Prior experience with the Ada programming language is desirable

Salary: Circa £64,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
