Job description
- Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AI/ML solutions on AWS tailored to client needs, including the selection and fine-tuning of models.
- Develop, deploy, and operate machine learning models and generative AI applications that solve real-world business problems, conducting experiments and optimizing performance at scale.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify high-value AI/ML use cases, gather requirements, and propose strategies for implementation.
- Provide technical guidance on implementing AI responsibly and cost-efficiently, troubleshooting throughout delivery, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Act as a trusted advisor on the latest AI/ML advancements, emerging technologies, and new approaches to leverage diverse data sources for maximum impact.
- Share knowledge through mentoring, training, and creating reusable AI/ML artifacts, working with teammates to prototype new technologies and evaluate technical feasibility.
Requirements
This position requires that the candidate be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph., * Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science.
- 5+ years of experience with data querying and Scripting languages (eg, SQL, Python), and statistical/mathematical software (eg, R, SAS, Matlab).
- Experience in data applications using large-scale distributed systems (eg, EMR, Spark, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Pig, Hive).
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the entire software development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployment, testing, and operational excellence.
- Current, active U.S. Government security clearance TS/SCI with polygraph., * Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science.
- 2+ years of data visualization experience using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc.
- Experience managing data pipelines.
- Knowledge of machine learning approaches and algorithms.
- Experience working on multi-team, cross-disciplinary projects.
- Experience applying quantitative analysis to solve business problems and making data-driven decisions.
- Experience developing and deploying large language models (LLMs) in production on GPUs, Neuron, TPU, or other AI acceleration hardware; or experience with ML and LLM fundamentals, including architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization of model execution.
Benefits & conditions
The base salary range for this position is $159,200.00 - $215,300.00 USD annually (USA, VA, Arlington and USA, VA, Herndon). The compensation package includes sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and benefits such as health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
