Job description
We are looking for a Lead Functional Developer - Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (D365 CE) to support our internal delivery teams. The successful candidate will work closely with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architecture, and Functional Developers to lead discovery efforts, define requirements designs, and deliver high-quality solutions. This role combines functional leadership, requirements ownership, and hands-on configuration within Dynamics 365 CE and the Power Platform.
Final-round interviews are conducted in person. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are U.S. citizens or Green Card holders., * Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops to gather and define business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional designs, including process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with Solution Architects to design scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Configure and build solutions in Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform (Dataverse, model-driven apps, business rules, Power Automates)
- Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend best-fit solutions with a focus on out-of-the-box capabilities.
- Guide and mentor other functional developers, ensuring consistency in design, documentation, and delivery quality.
- Support Agile delivery processes including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization.
- Collaborate with our QA team to optimize testing efforts and our support team for post implementation support
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 CE Sales, Customer Service and Field Service
- Strong experience facilitating discovery sessions and translating requirements into functional designs.
- Hands-on experience configuring Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solutions (Power Automates, BREs, Model Driven Apps, Workflows)
- Experience working closely with solution and enterprise architects.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and full SDLC lifecycle.
- Strong documentation skills including process mapping, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead functional efforts across projects.
Preferred
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform certifications.
- Experience with integrations, APIs, and Azure services.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management.
- Experience mentoring or leading functional teams.
