Job description

  • Design and develop object-oriented ABAP solutions aligned with MVC principles.
  • Build and maintain integrations across SAP R/3 and S4/HANA environments.
  • Implement performance optimizations and conduct thorough testing and debugging.
  • Coordinate with functional teams and offshore developers to deliver project milestones.
  • Leverage SAP BTP and Fiori to deliver clean-core solutions and migrate custom code.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge and working experience of Object-Oriented ABAP, MVC architecture, and ABAP object design patterns.
  • Proven experience building integrations around SAP R/3 suite using Cross Application (ALE/EDI/IDOC/BAPI, etc.) modules.
  • Expertise in developing ABAP RICEFs (Reports/ALV Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, workflows, enhancements, Forms SMARTFORMS, SAP Script), and enhancement techniques such as user exits, customer exits, implicit and explicit enhancements, BADIs, BTE, and VOFM routines.
  • Experience with SAP end-to-end implementation, roll-out, production support, and enhancement and upgrade projects.
  • Expertise in performance tuning, testing and optimisation of objects; experience with SQL trace, runtime analysis and SCI.
  • Good working knowledge of ABAP dictionary tools (Tables, Data Elements, Domains, Views, Structures, Search Help, Lock Objects).
  • Experience with scheduling and analysing background jobs.
  • Ability to coordinate between onsite functional team, client and offshore technical team.
  • Agile methodology knowledge mandatory.
  • Exposure to S4 HANA implementation projects.
  • Experience with ABAP RESTful application programming model (RAP).
  • Experience with CDS View, AMDP and OData services.
  • Understanding of SAP BTP and its environments (ABAP environment, Cloud Foundry).
  • Experience with side-by-side extensibility scenarios on BTP.
  • Knowledge of Clean Core approach and its benefits; ability to identify and address custom code dependencies for Clean Core.
  • Familiarity with tools and techniques for custom code migration to BTP.
  • Experience in developing Fiori applications, including OData services and familiarity with Fiori Elements framework.
