Job description
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician with strong Level 2 support experience to provide end-user support, device deployment, and ongoing maintenance of desktop environments. This role requires a hands-on professional who can deliver high-quality technical support while maintaining strong customer service and communication standards., * Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software in accordance with company standards
- Build, image, and deploy systems for new hires, including coordinating shipment and setup of equipment
- Provide Level 2 support, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows 11 OS, desktop hardware, and enterprise applications
- Support Microsoft 365 (O365) applications, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Perform device lifecycle management, including upgrades, refreshes, IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities, and decommissioning
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, including tracking equipment and managing surplus hardware
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and support printing environments (network and local printers)
- Manage and support Active Directory, including user accounts, organizational units, and group policies
- Deploy and manage software using tools such as MECM, Intune, and App-V
- Provide mobile device and mobile mail support for end users
- Work with hardware vendors (e.g., Dell) for warranty support and escalations
- Track and manage incidents through ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools, ensuring SLA adherence
- Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical users

Requirements

- Strong experience supporting Windows 11 environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (O365) applications and services
- Hands-on experience with PC imaging, deployment, and refresh processes (MECM preferred)
- Solid understanding of Active Directory (user management, OUs, group policies)
- Experience troubleshooting hardware (Dell preferred), software, and basic networking issues
- Familiarity with software deployment tools (MECM, Intune, App-V)
- Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment, * Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Microsoft certifications or related technical certifications
- Experience in enterprise IT environments supporting large user bases
Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hingham, MA. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $34.00/hr.
