Job description
We are looking for a subject matter expert in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to architect and document scalable solutions for our WMS suite, including Manhattan Active and HighJump. You will collaborate with IT and operations teams to deploy and enhance WMS functionality across multi-facility distribution centers, develop implementation plans, enforce architectural principles, drive service improvements, and lead AI initiatives for WMS, IBM OMS Sterling and integrations. Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the WMS Application Suite.
- Architect and document scalable solutions for new products, processes, and technologies.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to deploy and enhance WMS functionality in multi-facility DC environments.
- Develop technical implementation plans and timelines aligned with engineering and enterprise standards.
- Communicate technical implementation plans, needs, and limitations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Perform impact analysis across enterprise and third-party systems; provide high-level cost and effort estimates.
- Enforce architectural principles and guide solution reviews to ensure technical integrity.
- Drive service improvements through proactive alerting, root cause analysis, and automation of manual/redundant activities.
- Validate performance of system changes, including deployments and upgrades, to ensure scalability and stability.
- Improve end-to-end orders and inventory flow, enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing inventory management using SFCC, POS (APTOS), IBM OMS Sterling, SAP S4 HANA, BI, and integrations (EDI, MFT, ESB, ETL).
- Support and lead end-to-end performance testing for holiday readiness, ensuring systems can handle peak loads and seasonal traffic.
- Lead incident, problem, and service request management processes.
- Lead AI initiatives for WMS, IBM OMS Sterling, and integrations.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
- Strong experience in the role or related positions.
- Requires 3 years of experience in WMS systems (JDA/RedPrairie/BlueYonder, Manhattan, Jasci).
- Requires 2 years of experience with ERPs (SAP S4 HANA or ECHO).
- Experience with omnichannel ecosystems and supply-chain operations (e-commerce, 3PL).
- Experience with SQL Server, ERP systems, parcel manifest systems (BluJay), and data analysis tools (Tableau, Visio, Excel).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Certifications:
- Black Belt Six Sigma Certification.
- EDI Professional Certification.
Benefits & conditions
Base salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year (depending on experience). Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), paid paternity and maternity leave, commuter benefits, disability insurance, and tuition assistance.
