Description of Work This position is the Manager of the Health and Human Common Applications Management Unit, reporting to the Yellow Portfolio IT Director. This Applications Systems Manager I position oversees a staff of IT professionals who support Departmental, multi-Divisional, or Program critical software applications/solutions (such as Common Name Data Service, Division Websites, SharePoint, and Tableau/PowerBI), as well as provide solution support for the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO). This unit is responsible for providing automation solutions and visualizations to enhance service delivery and improve productivity of business activities conducted by the Department; devising automation plans; managing development efforts; controlling changes to production software; and providing ongoing production support for systems/solutions within DHHS. This position is responsible for maintaining an accurate accounting of the team's support responsibility in application rationalization, monitoring monthly invoices and expenditures, and participating in Strategic and Financial/Budget planning. It ensures the team's appropriate usage of Enablement and DevSecOps tools, timely resolution of vulnerability findings, timely and appropriate security event response and recovery, efficient resource utilization, resource upskilling and mandatory training, appropriate access to assets and data, appropriate disaster recovery planning and testing, accurate incident/request tracking, and adherence to all IT policies and procedures. In addition to interacting closely with division business partners to understand requirements, future IT support initiatives, current support issues and concerns, and current/future budgetary situations, this position communicates and collaborates with Executive Leadership, IT Directors, IT Managers, ITD Section staff, and representatives from other state and federal agencies. Requirements
The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.
