Job description
- We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a long term contract opportunity supporting external user facing products and programs. This role will focus on new development as well as redesigning legacy applications into modern AWS based React and Node.js applications.
- The ideal candidate is a highly motivated full stack engineer with strong TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and AWS serverless development experience. This person should be comfortable working independently, communicating clearly in a remote environment, and contributing across frontend, backend, automation, testing, and application modernization efforts.
- This role is well suited for an engineer who can quickly become productive, collaborate effectively with distributed teams, and help deliver scalable, high quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement full stack software solutions using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and AWS
- Build modern frontend applications and scalable backend services
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices
- Support AWS serverless application development using services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, and SQS
- Participate in application modernization and redesign efforts for legacy systems
- Create design specifications, unit tests, and technical documentation
- Contribute to automation, testing frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable software
- Manage assigned portions of ongoing projects while meeting delivery timelines
- Analyze technical requirements and implement efficient, scalable solutions
Requirements
- Strong full stack development experience
- Advanced experience with React and TypeScript
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript ES6
- Solid backend development experience with Node.js
- Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS
- Experience with AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda and DynamoDB
- Experience building REST APIs and microservices
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automation
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI development practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a remote team environment, * Experience with automated testing, including E2E and API testing
- Familiarity with AWS CDK or CloudFormation
- Experience with event driven architectures
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Relevant AWS or professional certifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree, advanced degree, or equivalent professional experience preferred
Skills and Experience
- The strongest candidates will have hands on experience with modern full stack engineering practices, including React based user interfaces, Node.js backend services, AWS serverless architecture, automated testing, API development, and cloud based application deployment.
Benefits & conditions
Pay Rate Range: $80-$90 per hr (Depending on Experience)
