Job description

We are seeking a senior Data Modeler to help build the underlying data model for a new reference data management application and integrating it into the main data pipeline, including silver-layer structures. The Data Modeler will support data federation by developing tactical integrations across platforms and databases, creating views and tables to enable consistent access to unified data. Additional responsibilities include migrating multiple source systems-particularly claims and policy data-into Azure Databricks and ensuring they are modeled and integrated into core layers. The role may also contribute to building semantic models for Power BI and supporting broader platform initiatives as new projects evolve.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience practicing analytical data modeling (not source-system modeling).
  • Strong knowledge of Kimball (dimensional) modeling and other analytical modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with reference data management applications.
  • Insurance industry experience required.
  • Demonstrated data savviness and ability to understand complex data contexts, especially across multiple source systems.
  • Ability to perform basic data profiling.
  • Must be proficient with recent versions of Azure Databricks.
