Join as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to help build scalable automation solutions for a next-generation cloud-based compute platform in the digital life insurance space. In this remote role, you will contribute to quality engineering initiatives, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and support the delivery of modern customer-facing products in a fast-growing and innovation-driven environment., Maintain and extend existing test automation framework, as well as evaluation and build out of any new frameworks in support of automation needs and strategy;
- Be an advocate and champion of a quality mindset across your team and the product - 'build quality in', 'automation-first' and 'shift left test';
- Help define and implement performance/scale test strategy and capabilities;
- Build, monitor and improve CI/CD pipelines;
- Cultivate deep understanding of business needs and technical roadmap and set clear quality standards in collaboration with Product Managers and Engineering Leads.
Requirements

- Experience writing end to end tests for a distributed system;
- Experienced with Javascript and Node.js;
- Knowledge of the complete QA cycle and experience with different types of testing, including experience building and adding onto an automation framework;
- Experience building automated API tests and frameworks;
- A tester mindset and a solid understanding of testing principles and methodologies;
- Experience with CI/CD and Build pipelines;
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, Swagger or a similar framework;
- Experienced with Git, source code repositories, and code commenting tools;
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions);
- Familiar with the services offered by cloud platform providers such as AWS;
- Experience writing performance test scripts (e.g. Grafana K6);
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit team;
- Upper-intermediate English level.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with Playwright;
- Experience writing Typescript code.
