Job description

  • Lead the development of innovative enterprise, Cloud and application-based solutions for mission management and command and control along with world-class operations and sustainment capabilities of space-based programs in support of national security.
  • Lead a SAFE Agile Product team of individual contributors in support of product team execution whose primary focus is on the design, development, and testing of a combined hardware/software solution for operational delivery.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to drive program execution to deliver commitments within cost and schedule.
  • Be responsible for leading and developing the team to staff program needs, to develop and grow critical skills, and manage performance through Full Spectrum Leadership.
  • Be responsible for recruiting, staffing, training, career mentoring, and performance management of individual contributors, building strong teams.
  • Lead efforts to transform business practices through digital engineering and agile methodologies to optimize the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience utilizing Full Spectrum Leadership characteristics
  • Software Engineering skills and experience
  • Experience with Agile software development, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Cloud computing technology
  • Technical team leadership experience
  • Strong project management ability; consistently delivers multi-disciplinary, high risk programs on schedule and within budget
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, MS Project
  • Experience developing software for space and ground systems
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) understanding or experience and/or schedule management for engineering activities
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance is required for consideration

  • Experience leading new business capture activities including proposal development, BOE development, and technical and management plans
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented Full time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
