Job description

We're looking for a Test Engineer III to support an innovative footwear technology initiative within a global athletic and lifestyle brand. This role will focus on physical product testing, data analysis, and helping improve next-generation wearable technologies through hands-on experimentation and collaboration with engineering teams.

What You'll Do

  • Recruit and coordinate participants for product testing sessions
  • Execute physical product tests and collect performance data
  • Aggregate, analyze, and interpret testing results to support product improvements
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization
  • Support process improvements and contribute ideas that improve testing efficiency and product quality
  • Work directly with athletes and test participants during product evaluations
  • Utilize data analysis tools and scripting to support reporting and insights, * Work on next-generation wearable and footwear innovation projects
  • Hands-on role combining engineering, biomechanics, and athlete testing

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Test Engineering for physical products
  • Experience running tests, collecting data, and analyzing results
  • Strong collaboration skills working with engineering and product teams
  • Self-starter mindset with curiosity and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience making process improvements and driving innovation
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience with sensors, force plates, motion capture systems, treadmills, or athletic technology
  • Familiarity with human gait analysis or biomechanics
  • Experience working directly with athletes or test participants
  • Comfortable working in repetitive testing environments and social settings

Technical Skills

  • Python scripting and data analysis tools
  • Experience using AI tools for data analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • MATLAB experience preferred
