Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
- Build and optimize cloud-native data architectures supporting enterprise analytics initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics, data science, architecture, and business stakeholders
- Implement data quality, governance, and performance optimization best practices
- Support migration and modernization efforts from legacy data platforms to cloud-based environments
- Work with structured and unstructured healthcare data across multiple enterprise systems
- Contribute to enterprise data strategy, platform scalability, and engineering standards
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and cloud data platforms
- Experience building enterprise-scale data pipelines and distributed data processing solutions
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with modern cloud ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures
- Experience working in highly regulated environments preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, * Databricks certification strongly preferred
- Experience within healthcare, payer, provider, or life sciences environments
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards and compliance requirements
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Exposure to real-time streaming and advanced analytics environments
