Young Graduate - Software and Platform - Agentic AI Engineer - As of September 2026

This position offers a strong growth path toward roles such as AI Engineer, GenAI Solution Engineer, AI Delivery Lead, or AI/Platform Architect, depending on your strengths and interests. Your job As an Agentic AI Engineer (Young Graduate), you will:

• Analyze business needs and translate them into agentic AI use-cases (e.g., copilots, workflow agents, support automation), clarifying value, scope, and success metrics.
• Design and build agent workflows: planning, tool-calling, routing, guardrails, and multi-step task execution (single-agent and multi-agent patterns).
• Implement LLM application components in Python and modern GenAI frameworks (prompting, structured outputs, function/tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation).
• Connect agents to enterprise tools and data (APIs, databases, knowledge bases, search, ticketing systems), ensuring secure access patterns and traceability.
• Engineer quality into AI: create test cases for prompts and flows, evaluate outputs, track regressions, and help define acceptance criteria for AI behavior (accuracy, grounding, safety, latency, cost).
• Apply Responsible AI & security-by-design: support privacy, compliance, and basic governance practices in how data is accessed, processed, stored, and monitored.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and DevOps to integrate agentic AI into applications and delivery pipelines (CI/CD, environment configuration, release support).
• Track and communicate progress using Jira / Azure DevOps (or similar), contributing to sprint ceremonies and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to reusable assets: prompt libraries, evaluation packs, reference architectures, accelerators, and lessons learned to strengthen our S&PE AI delivery approach.

Your team Accenture Technology's Software & Platform Engineering (S&PE) organization is a global leader in digital engineering, GenAI, and Agentic AI delivery at scale. Within S&PE, we design, build, and operate AI-powered platforms and applications that combine software engineering excellence with advanced capabilities such as Generative AI, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation, tightly integrated with cloud ecosystems like Microsoft, AWS, and Google. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams of AI engineers, software engineers, architects, and delivery leads, helping clients move from AI experimentation to production-ready, governed, and value-driven AI solutions. Our work focuses on embedding AI at the core of enterprise processes - from copilots and autonomous agents to AI-assisted software delivery and platform modernization - ensuring solutions are scalable, responsible, and aligned with real business outcomes.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/Data, or related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships, thesis, student job, or first role) in software engineering, data/AI, or consulting delivery.
• Solid foundations in programming (preferably Python) and software engineering basics (version control, code quality, debugging).
• Strong interest in Generative AI / LLM applications, especially agentic patterns (tool use, orchestration, retrieval, evaluation).
• Understanding of (or motivation to learn) cloud and deployment basics (Azure/AWS/GCP concepts, containers, APIs, CI/CD).
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Team spirit, proactive mindset, and willingness to learn, share knowledge, and iterate fast.
• Fluency in English AND either French or Dutch.

Nice to have

• Exposure to RAG concepts (embeddings, vector stores), basic ML concepts, or evaluation approaches.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working and delivery ceremonies.

Certifications (preferred / nice to have)

• AI Fundamentals (e.g., Microsoft AI fundamentals) (preferred). (Suggested track aligns with the internal Microsoft Agentic AI learning offering.)
• Azure AI / Cloud entry-level certification (nice to have).
