Job description

You are responsible for:

  • establishing and maintaining a system for the archiving and publication of large volumes of experimental and simulation data at IMVT (research data management, big data)
  • designing, implementing, and maintaining an electronic document management system for the digitalization of the institute's entire administration in coordination with the relevant departments at KIT
  • carrying out the duties of the institute's data protection officer

Requirements

  • a completed university degree (Master's degree/university diploma) in computer science or a related field
  • very good knowledge of data formats and databases/repositories for the storage and publication of scientific research data, preferably including experience with research data management systems
  • knowledge of and experience with methods of machine learning and artificial intelligence in the context of scientific research data management
  • very good knowledge of document management systems
  • very good knowledge of the operation of computer networks, server systems, and secure email communication
  • good communication skills in both German and English
  • strong organizational skills
