We're supporting a major secure digital transformation programme within critical national infrastructure and are looking for a strong SC Cleared AWS DevOps Engineer with a heavy focus on testing, automation, and platform reliability.
This role would suit someone who is genuinely hands-on across AWS DevOps environments and has strong experience building and structuring test frameworks within complex cloud platforms. The successful consultant will play a key role in developing functional and performance testing capabilities across distributed AWS environments operating within a multi-account model.
You'll be joining an Agile engineering environment working closely with platform, infrastructure, and client teams, supporting both delivery and operational improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust automated test frameworks
- Create test strategies, approaches, and detailed test plans
- Deliver functional, integration, API, and performance testing across cloud-native services
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration and automated deployment validation
- Work within complex AWS multi-account environments
- Collaborate with DevOps, platform engineering, and infrastructure teams
- Support operational troubleshooting and occasional 3rd line activities
- Produce technical documentation within Confluence and manage delivery activity through Jira
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong AWS DevOps engineering background within enterprise or secure environments
- Commercial experience building automated testing frameworks
- Strong API testing experience
- Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised platforms
- Experience working with Jenkins for CI/CD delivery
- Strong Scripting capability using Python, Bash and/or Ansible
- Experience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus and ELK
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery environments
- Comfortable working closely with engineering and operational support teams

- Networking, proxies, and Firewall technologies
- Fortinet or Palo Alto exposure
