EDBS IT Support Engineer (1st/2nd line) - Milton Keynes & Coventry - 3 month contract
We are looking for a strong 1st Line/borderline 2nd Line Support Engineer to provide on-site IT support within an education environment, supporting both students and teaching staff. The successful candidate will be hands-on, customer-focused, and confident troubleshooting a wide range of end-user issues across desktop, laptop, classroom, and basic network technologies. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and previous experience working in schools, colleges, or similar user-facing environments. The Successful candidate will required to work in Milton Keynes 4 days a week and in Coventry 1 day a week.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site IT support to students, teachers, and administrative staff
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues
- Support Windows 10/11 devices, laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
- Administer user accounts, password resets, and permissions via Active Directory/Entra ID
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
- Assist with classroom IT setups, AV equipment, and interactive technologies
- Build, configure, and deploy end-user devices
- Log and manage incidents through the IT ticketing system
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers where required
- Ensure a high level of customer service and clear communication at all times
- Support safeguarding and IT security procedures within the education environment
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in a 1st Line or junior 2nd Line Support role
- Previous experience providing on-site end-user support
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
- Experience with Active Directory and basic networking
- Hardware troubleshooting and device deployment experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
- Enhanced DBS check is mandatory
