Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 currently has an opening for an Assistant Director of Systems and Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). The Assistant Director of Systems and MTSS partners with the Director of Strategic Systems and Continuous Improvement to lead the implementation and refinement of the district's MTSS framework. This role is responsible for operationalizing district systems at the school level by strengthening multi-tiered supports, building staff capacity in data-based decision-making, and ensuring the strategic use of assessment tools and the data warehouse to drive measurable improvements in student outcomes. Deliver onsite coaching, professional learning, and technical assistance to interventionists and MTSS teams to build staff capacity and ensure high-quality, evidence-based interventions across all tiers.

Lead the consistent implementation of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports, ensuring MTSS processes and progress monitoring practices are aligned with core instruction and district standards.

Monitor and analyze multi-tiered student data to evaluate intervention effectiveness, ensuring that data-based decision-making drives instructional adjustments and targeted student support. Assessment & Data Systems

Collaborate with Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (CIA) and Student Services to align universal screening and progress monitoring with district MTSS practices.

Provide training and technical support for implementing universal screeners and the district's data warehouse to drive effective intervention planning.

Analyze and synthesize assessment and MTSS data to inform instructional practices and communicate student progress to district and school leadership. Collaboration & Capacity Building

Support the Director of Strategic Systems and Continuous Improvement in monitoring School Improvement Plans (SIPs) through the collection and analysis of site-based MTSS data to ensure alignment with district goals.

Partner with coaches, interventionists, and school teams to strengthen interventions and build leadership capacity for effective data use and intervention planning.

Design and facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and high-impact training sessions for interventionists on MTSS practices and data synthesis.

Maintain expertise in current MTSS, intervention, and assessment research to ensure district practices remain at the forefront of the field.
Requirements

Valid Professional Educator License with: o General Administrative endorsement and o Elementary Education (K-9) or Secondary Education (6-12)

5 or more years of exemplary classroom, interventionist, coach, or school administrator experience preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Teacher leadership experience preferred

Strong ability to analyze student data ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
