Job description

SITE COORDINATOR ( 1 per site) "AS NEEDED" CONTINGENT UPON GRANT FUNDING The following positions are being considered based on funding for 21st Century Community Learning Center grant to support three after-school programs for students. Each center will offer a wide variety of activities including enrichments, interventions in reading and math, Hands On Science Outreach, community youth programs, homework help and drug, tobacco and character education. Preference will be given to staff members applying from the school site, to those who have experience, training and/or skills relevant to the position, and to those who have previous 21st Century Community Learning Center Experience., + Planning and scheduling after-school program of activities for students

  • Coordinate and implement activities for parents of students attending the after-school program
  • Supervise after-school program daily
  • Maintain attendance and discipline records of students attending after-school program
  • Communicate daily with principal and classroom teachers about student needs and aspects of the after-school program
  • Complete all district and state reports required for 21st CCLC
  • Oversee evaluation activities of 21st CCLC
  • Facilitate partnerships with appropriate public and private agencies that provide services for students and families
  • Participate in district and/or state meetings concerning 21st CCLC
  • Publicize activities of 21st CCLC
  • Perform all other duties as assigned Reports to : Principal of school Scott Morris, Community Programs Facilitator Length of Employment: September 2025-May 2026. Continuation of position is dependent upon funding. Hours are Monday â€" Friday, 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm with extra field trips.

Requirements

  • Elementary certification preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to schedule, manage and work without direct supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Computer word processing skills: WORD, EXCEL
  • Experience working in an after-school or other informal education programs preferred
