Job description

Director - IT Asset Lifecycle Management will play a critical role in directing the strategies, initiatives, policies and programs for global infrastructure development, processes and teams support and management. Manages activities through senior managers and managers and implements corporate and divisional strategic plans and budgets.

What will you do?

  • Direct and manage global operational processes for Configuration Management, Software Asset Management (SAM), and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) across the enterprise technology environment.
  • Ensure consistent execution of control activities required by IT Asset and Configuration Management policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain operational procedures to support accurate asset lifecycle management, including onboarding, tracking, reconciliation, and retirement.
  • Direct teams responsible for operational support, issue remediation, and continuous improvement of asset and configuration processes.
  • Ensure operational alignment with internal audit, regulatory expectations, and enterprise risk management frameworks.
  • Drive standardization of asset and configuration management processes across global business units, subsidiaries, and technology domains.
  • Partner with infrastructure, application, cloud, cybersecurity, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate asset visibility and configuration relationships.
  • Lead remediation and root cause analysis for control gaps, audit findings, and regulatory issues related to asset and configuration management.
  • Oversee operational governance, including control evidence collection, reporting, and compliance attestations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for asset and configuration management operational teams.

Requirements

  • Experience implementing and operating IT control frameworks (e.g., SOX, internal audit, regulatory technology controls).
  • Deep understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (CMDB) frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and Asset Management modules.
  • Experience managing hardware asset lifecycle processes across data center, end-user computing, and cloud environments.
  • Operational experience supporting software asset management processes (excluding licensing compliance management).
  • Familiarity with data quality management, reconciliation processes, and asset normalization.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices, particularly:
  • Configuration Management
  • Asset Management
  • Change Management
  • Incident and Problem Management
  • Experience managing configuration item (CI) relationships and asset reconciliation activities.
  • Ability to interpret and implement enterprise technology policies and standards., * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations, asset management, configuration management, or technology risk within a large enterprise environment.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including managing managers or senior analysts.
  • Demonstrated experience operating asset or configuration management processes at enterprise scale.
  • Experience supporting internal audits, regulatory reviews, and control validation activities.
  • Strong understanding of operational governance, risk management, and technology control frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across global technology teams.
  • Experience managing process improvement and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within a global financial institution or highly regulated industry.
  • Professional certifications such as:
  • ITIL Certification
  • ServiceNow certifications
  • Experience implementing or transforming enterprise CMDB and asset management programs.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and enterprise data quality programs.
  • Experience building operational dashboards, control metrics, and executive reporting.
  • Exposure to technology risk management frameworks and regulatory expectations (e.g., OCC, Federal Reserve, ECB, PRA).
  • Experience managing global distributed teams and offshore operational support models.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $160,000-$260,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
