Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled User Experience Designer to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity in McLean, VA. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end UX design process, translating complex user and business requirements into intuitive, scalable, and visually compelling digital experiences. You will apply human-centered design principles, strategic thinking, and data-informed decision-making to create products that are both functional and impactful.

The ideal candidate is passionate about designing seamless user journeys, conducting meaningful user research, and collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality user experiences. Responsibilities include facilitating discovery sessions, synthesizing research insights, developing user flows and information architecture, creating wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes, and validating solutions through usability testing and iterative design refinement.

This role requires a strong balance of systems thinking, interaction design expertise, and visual craftsmanship, with a focus on delivering accessible, efficient, and user-centered solutions within mission-driven environments., * Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Active security clearance required
  • Must be able to commute to McLean, VA and work on-site daily, core hours 9-3pm

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Deep expertise in Human-Centered Design (HCD) methodologies and user research practices, including user interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, and persona development
  • Strong UX design capabilities across interaction design, wireframing, information architecture, and end-to-end user flow development, and mock-ups
  • Proven experience creating high-fidelity visual designs and interactive prototypes that align with usability and accessibility best practices
  • Ability to communicate design rationale effectively and collaborate within multidisciplinary Agile teams
  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD
  • Understanding of front-end development principles, responsive design systems, and design-to-development handoff processes
  • Experience working in complex enterprise, government, or mission-focused environments is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline
