Job description
As a Lead Full Stack Developer supporting The Department of War (DoW) and the Intelligence Community (IC), you'll help modernize ISR mission and weapon-system environments, integrating cloud, platform engineering, DevSecOps, microservices, and digital thread concepts into resilient software solutions. You'll ensure every solution considers the broader architecture, security posture, and future capability enhancements required to transition technologies into operational use.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering
- Experience architecting and deploying full stack applications, including backend services, front-end components, and API-driven integrations
- Experience with two modern languages, such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Experience with a major front-end framework, such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, automated testing, and secure coding practices
- Experience with containers and orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and environment automation such as Terraform or Ansible
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Nice If You Have:
- Experience integrating software with MBSE or digital engineering environments, such as SysML, Cameo, or MagicDraw
- Experience developing software for DoD or Intelligence Community mission systems, including ISR or weapon-system modernization
- Experience with MLOps, data engineering pipelines, or modeling and simulation tools including STK, MATLAB, or Simulink
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cloud architecture, zero-trust principles, service mesh, and enterprise observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry
- TS/SCI clearance
- Professional Certifications such as CISSP, CKAD, CKA, AWS, Azure, or Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
