Job description
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the IoT Services organization. Influences direct reports to focus on technical leadership, knowledge transfer, and career growth.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to analyze flow metrics, fostering a culture of software engineering excellence and continuous improvement while effectively managing cost, scope, and schedule commitments.
- Sets team and individual goals that align with key business outcomes. Monitors progress and provide quarterly performance feedback to direct reports.
- Develop, evaluate, monitor and maintain design control systems that establish processes and best practices, considering both external and internal stakeholders.
- Escalates issues following established governance practices as appropriate.
- Develop strategic staffing plans to ensure organizational scalability and operational continuity that support organizational objectives.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Team management?, * Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or math and minimum of 7 years of work experience in science, technology, engineering, math OR advanced degree in science, technology, engineering, or math, with 5 years of technical experience and 5 years of demonstrated managerial experience, * Demonstrate strong skills and deep technical expertise across complex software ecosystems, particularly IoT ecosystems
- Demonstrated Embedded Design and regulatory experience, especially post-market/released medical device software
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence embedded practices and organizational processes with all levels of R&D.
- Experience working with common tools such as Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and microservices architecture.
- Energetic communication, leadership, documentation, and interpersonal skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$175,200.00 - $262,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
