Job description
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall operations and function of the facility and property to its highest standard. This position will report to the Data Center Operations Manager., · Oversee operations and preventative maintenance of all critical infrastructure equipment and operating systems that support the data center environment
· Oversee operations and preventive maintenance of all building and property systems and equipment
· Monitoring of building infrastructure systems through the Building Management System (BMS)
· Troubleshooting of building infrastructure through normal operation and emergency events
through resolution
· Oversee support of new and ongoing construction activities throughout the building
· Review daily procedures and walk through reporting
· Create work tickets and projects
· Assist Operations Manager/Property Manager in scheduling building/property activities
· Escalate issues and staff observations to Operations Manager
· Oversee security/access control including shipping and receiving duties
· Execute Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as document manager for site activities
· Respond to emergency situations and customer requests as needed
· Oversee vendors and PMs during site activities
· Schedule vender activity and arrange access with Property Manager
· Oversee the Network Operations Team to issue customer notification when needed
· Conduct continual training for operational staff
· Assist Operations Manager/Property Manager with annual compliance audit documentation
· Work well in a team environment, willing to share ideas
· Participation in Operation and Construction callsRequirements
Requirements
· 6-10 years of related experience in mechanical, electrical, and critical emergency systems preferred
· Date Center mission critical experience preferred
· Electrical trained in 240v-120v systems
· Proficiency in low voltage controls including HVAC controls and BMS
· Successful completion of OSHA 30 training
· Successful completion of Arch Flash NEPA 70E to be able to conduct power transfers
· Good vendor oversight skills
· Proficiency reviewing and analyzing contracts/budgets and proposals
· Proficiency reviewing invoicing of project completion and verification
· Be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
· Join an "on call" rotation to assist with unscheduled events and emergencies
· Able to perform site inspections in a large property based on location
· Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
· Good understanding of computer system applications to perform daily work requirements
· Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
· Willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission critical environment
