Telecommunications Network Technician

You'll play a key role in keeping our network strong, reliable, and growing. Your day-to-day may include:

• Installing, splicing, terminating, and testing fiber-optic and RF networks (OSP, ISP, commercial, and residential)
• Diagnosing and resolving network issues to ensure optimal performance
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics for efficient project execution
• Documenting all work to support compliance and future planning
• Managing materials and recommending system upgrades
• Coordinating with contractors, utilities, and regulatory agencies
• Delivering excellent customer service, including technical support and training
• Following all safety standards and industry best practices

We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to safety and service:

• Associate degree in electronics, telecommunications, or related field (preferred) (Relevant experience or training may substitute)

• 3+ years of experience in fiber optic installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance

• Strong knowledge of fiber splicing, testing, and network systems

• Familiarity with GIS, CAD, or mapping tools (a plus)

• Ability to work in a variety of environments-indoors, outdoors, and at heights

• Valid driver's license with safe driving record (Class B CDL or willingness to obtain is a plus)

• Willingness to obtain a North Carolina Notary Public commission

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Occasional evenings/weekends as needed)

• Work Environment: Hands-on, field-based work in varying conditions throughout our service area
