Job description
Our collaborative cyber test and training teams define one-of-kind tailored solutions to the cyber warfighter and deliver results to increase the cyber resiliency of our nation's weapon systems.
As a Linux Systems Administrator you will be responsible for day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and upkeep of hardware and software systems. The Systems specialty will focus on system configuration, health, and sanitization. You will provide break/fix support and put your top level troubleshoooting skills to work for our ranges. Responsibilities include:
- Coordination with the various Event Staff members to schedule operations that do not intrude on other concurrent activities while meeting customer needs
- Follow security procedures to maintain backups, logs, and checklists that verify system operation and confirm compliance with classification requirements
- Regularly communicate range status, risks and recovery plans to management
- Coordinate with security to confirm the status of event-related equipment, classified material, and other media. Verifying post-event sanitization and archival, and supporting the services necessary to destroy and document the destruction of classified material.
Requirements
- US Citizen
- TS with SCI Clearance eligibility
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and 5+ years of related engineering experience
- Willingness to travel to customer sites; approximately 10% travel, * Experienced with test ranges/data centers and certificate management for both servers and clients
- Understanding and appropriate experience with hardware systems' configuration and installation
- Understanding of Datacenter administration in Test & Evaluation environment
- Strong familiarity with Linux systems from a system administrator viewpoint, including related systems such as NetApp SANs, VMware, Deploying VHDs, Virtual computing
Preferred Certifications (not required):
- DoDD 8570 IAT Level II certification or greater
